Major renovation and retrofit to an existing 38,000 sq.ft. two-storey poultry processing facility. This is the only slaughter house allowed, through acquired rights, on the Island of Montreal. Innovative and compact process layout solutions were required in order to achieve the necessary production levels on the restricted and confined site. The project encompassed the addition of a 2,000 sq.ft. waste water treatment facility and inedible waste area, as well as the complete replacement of all architectural finishes, and process equipment to the existing 18,000 sq.ft. ground floor unloading, slaughter, evisceration, inspection, cutting and packaging area.
